The Red Rooster...A Cocky One Too

Le Coq Rouge 2002. $5.99 This French wine is a blend of Merlot 45% cabernet-sauvignon 30% and Syrah 25%. This is a keeper. It is medium-bodied smooth as pudding, deliciously light with fruity undertones. Dry with a nice long finish. Ah, but let it sit for about 10 minutes before you drink it. If you drink it right after pouring it is tart and tastes more acidic. The Wine Company has a little write up on this wine. Take a look, you can buy it from there too.
Incidentally, we are in the
year of the Rooster right now. J-Dog is looking for a Chinese girl to celebrate with. He is not as fussy as Luke Ford.
Bob and I were thinking of getting a rooster, but our city doesn't allow it. A zoning thing. I thought it would be neat to wake up to a rooster crowing. Bob doesn't think so. He grew up on an organic poultry farm in New Jersey. So, we settled on a rooster that hangs on the front door welcoming strangers and J-Dog. He doesn't crow. He doesn't walk. He doesn't even flap his wings. He is not real. I hate compromise.

This picture does not represent the bottle. It is just a red rooster.
