Shut Up and Dance...The Ball

So Bob and I went to a fund-raiser last night for the Tsunami victims put on by Knus AM of Denver and Laura Ingraham, author of the New York best seller "Shut Up and Sing". Wendy Woo was the music entertainment. She was a mix of country and her own style. She wooed us nicely. Laura was there of course, so she autographed our copy of the book. I wonder if it will be worth money someday. I mean, more than the $25 it cost us. When we were downstairs parking the car, Bob decided he didn't need his phone. What was he thinking??!!. His phone also takes pictures so we missed out in a photo op to go with the autograph. Oh well, we did win a bid on a baseball with Reggie Jackson's signature on it. In addition to dancing, we drank wine. The choices were Laterre' California, Merlot, Cabernet, Rosa. $5.50 a glass. We went for the Merlot. No year on the bottle. It was ok. Nothing to write home about and I certainly won't go out of my way looking for it in the stores, but I know that if we run across it again it's drinkable. It was spicy, crisp and oaky. The color was medium. You couldn't see right through it, but it was not a very deep purple. Hey, aren't they a band?
