History Test

Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz-Cabernet, Vintage 2002 from Southeastern Australia. $10.99. Not a bad price, although we paid $38 for it the first time. The Kim part of Bob acquired a coupon that gave us $35 off our meal at a "hip new" sushi place called Mao's, right in the heart of Cherry Creek North. So, KimBob and J-dog decided to try it. I guess people people will do anything to make a buck, Capitalism at it's best. The Mao they named it after was the Chinese dictator, Mao Zedong, responsible for killing millions of people for his personal cleansing purposes. So this restaurant glorifies him and has him lasered onto the ceiling and all over the place with "Little Red Books" serving as the menu's. May as well open a place called Hitler's and have wait staff with swastika on their sleeves. The funny thing about it was that there were so many young people there, seems everyone knows about Hitler, but not about a man equally as evil. We will not be going back there.

The wine on the other hand was good. In fact we bought a bottle at the liquor store the other day for $10.99. It is a bit dry, tart, easy on the palate, smooth and very tasty. We would strongly recommend it, just not at Mao's in Cherry Creek.

Vicious Dog Update

For those of you who have been on the edge of your seat in suspense, here is a quick dog-bite update. The drunken fool who petted without asking is actually taking us to court and will be seeking restitution. We will be getting a copy of the police report this week, which we are sure will mention the above fact, the man was intoxicated, and we can only hope for a fair, balanced judge. Or maybe just a judge who can see an idiot when he sees one. Court date is June 20th, we will post again!
