The Kid From Brooklyn 1946
The year my parents were born. Who watches this stuff? Besides J-Dog? They are delivering fresh milk with horse drawn buggies... in New York City? The star is a goofy, funny looking guy, with great hair, named Danny Kaye. He stars next to Vera-Ellen who was also in White Christmas and danced with Fred Astaire as well as Gene Kelly. These old movies (sorry, Mom & Dad) are so, um, colorful for one thing. Technicolor, so they used every possible combination just because. One actress was wearing a bright purple suit with a bright teal blue shirt with bright sour apple green sleeves. The women wear head dresses that look like the ones horses in the circus wear. I need one of those. The men's' slacks waist-bands go all the way to their chests. ( I have pictures of my Big Daddy O' with pants like these). Finally, they talk funny. Not "haha" funny. Unnatural. Rehearsed. Exaggerated. "Ok fellas', it's like this, see..."
I think with enough Coyote Creek Merlot Vintage 2003, California. I might make it through to the end. Yum! This is great! So smooth, buttery. Melts in your mouth. $8.99 Alcohol 12.5 (A bit low, not as much bang for the buck). I couldn't find any info on this vineyard. Wild Coyote kept coming up, but the label and city was different.
J-Dog likes the movie. J-Dog likes the wine too. J-Dog is happy he picked it, but even happier that the Kim part of Bob paid for it. Cheers.
